The product quality of PV modules and their power efficiency, either guaranteed by the manufacturer or proven and certified by independent third parties, will play a key role in the market. PV module performance measurements are commonly performed with sunlight simulators. The changing optical properties of these test facilities greatly affect test quality. However, Module manufacturers do not have suitable test equipment for controlling the operating conditions of their light simulation system.
Given this situation, the project has set the following objectives:
-
Development of definition of quality assurance measures for solar simulators in order to maintain constant test quality in PV module production.
-
Development of measurement methods for improving production tolerances.
-
Development of definition of quality assurance measures for solar simulators in order to maintain constant test quality in PV module production.
-
Development of measurement methods for improving production tolerances.
-
Establishment of uniform measurement procedures in module production for calibrating solar simulators and for the efficiency of solar panel production.
